The genesis of 'The Blood Moon Call' is deeply rooted in transformative life experiences. In 2017, as the founder of Man Club, I created a sanctuary for men to share, listen, and be heard—a sacred space where the tradition of the talking stick became integral. Numbnuts, the wild sea swim group born from these gatherings, symbolizes the resilience cultivated in the face of nature's elements. The mantra 'Embrace the Wild' echoes through the artwork, reflecting the icy embrace of winter seas and the challenges they bring.

The artwork encapsulates the magic of sacred circles, where men come together to honour traditions and share their vulnerabilities.

In 2022, I personally held a transformative Fire Ceremony for 13 Men—an ancient ritual set in a forested area on the island of Guernsey. Guided by breathwork, the rhythmic beat of the drum, and the transformative energy of the fire, a collective power surged. Each man, guided by a talking stick, shared vulnerabilities, fears, and struggles. Symbolically burning these fears in a corridor of support, I released the fear of failure. 'The Blood Moon Call' embodies the raw sacred power felt that night—a call to the wild, a connection found in nature, hiking, and the sea.
